Lounge Wins The Sydney Risk Prize for Outstanding Original Play at the Jessies!!!


Chrysalis and Screaming Weenie were honoured at the Jessie Awards Monday June 18th, 2007 when Tanya Marquardt, playwright and Artistic Director of Chrysalis Theatre won The Sydney Risk Prize for Outstanding Original Play by an Emerging Playwright for Lounge, which was co-produced in September 2006 at Mynt Restaurant & Lounge. The cash prize will go to support Tanya over the next two months as she is currently writing two new plays for the 2007/2008 Season.
