Chrysalis Residency at Mascall Dance

November 29 - 30th, Chrysalis Theatre had the pleasure of developing our new dance piece, Memento during a residency with Mascall Dance in Vancouver.


Memento is the dance of the memory of a touch and how that touch effects the human body long after it is gone. I used Contact dance techniques as well as Grotowski based physical theatre and Butoh to create the movement, and am looking to perform the piece as a solo this year as a way of dramaturging the form of the piece, as well as testing it on an audience.
